This assignment is still today one of my favorites. We redesigned a book of our choice. I had chosen one of my childhood favorites “Red Kayak”, this book is filled with so much mystery and drama. You’re probably wondering why there is an image of crab being encompassed in a clock. Well, it is part of the mystery being unfolded in the storyline. The dramatic effects really engage viewers and it makes you take a second glance which is one of every designer’s goals to complete. The dramatic affects accent the storyline and the viewers’ eyes. I created this piece using Photoshop with multiple blending modes, masks, and special effects. The last touches were created in InDesign.
